How long does the face indexing take after I upload photos?

It runs in the background after you publish, and the duration depends on the album size — a 500-photo birthday will index far faster than a 4,000-photo wedding. Snaptide invested in its GPU job scheduling and batching in 2026 specifically to make this faster during peak wedding season, when everyone's uploading at once. The practical guidance is to build and publish your album well before you tell guests it's ready, giving the processing time to finish so the first guest who tries it gets instant results.
