Why doesn't face recognition work on my cold storage files? Is something broken?

Nothing's broken — it's by design. Cold storage is backup-only by definition: it doesn't run album AI, face matching, or any of the guest features. The clue is in the name — cold files are meant to sit quietly in the archive, not power active guest experiences. If you need the AI for an event again, that album belongs back in hot storage. It's a clean separation: hot is for serving people, cold is for keeping files.
